Flute Film was founded in 2019 by producer and entrepreneur Christopher Zwickler who studied film production at the renowned Filmakademie Ludwigsburg. His mid length feature “The Last Will”, directed by Dustin Loose, was awarded with a silver student Oscar of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. Parallel to his involvement as a movie producer Zwickler together with Hollywood director Roland Emmerich founded Flimmer, a marketing agency for film and entertainment which was acquired only three years after its founding by the French media company Webedia (AlloCine).

Flute Film’s first major production “The Magic Flute” (2021) is a modern screen adaptation of Mozart’s beloved opera starring international stars such as Oscar-winning F. Murray Abraham, Jack Wolfe (Shadow & Bone), Iwan Rheon (Game of Thrones), Sabine Devieilhe, Morris Robinson and many more. The film premiered at the Zurich film festival.

The upcoming development and production lineup includes an adaptation of Édouard Louis acclaimed novel „History Of Violence“; a period horror piece; an international political thriller, as well, as a multicam sitcom for the younger audience.

Flute Film aims for an international appeal in its productions whilst keeping domestic infrastructures in mind. The headquarter of Flute Film is situated in the heart of Berlin at Hackescher Markt.
